Recent advances in artificial intelligence are significantly impacting clinical practice. A multinational team has developed an AI framework leveraging transfer learning to predict post-operative outcomes for chronic rhinosinusitis surgeries, enhancing patient evaluation and treatment planning. Concurrently, a pilot study published in BMC Cancer investigates a novel “watch-and-wait” strategy in locally recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients responding to immuno-chemotherapy, potentially sparing immediate local treatments. These developments highlight AI’s role in improving postoperative assessment and personalized oncology management.
