Sofinnova Partners partnered with Amazon Web Services to deliver an AI platform (“Sofia”) to life science investors’ portfolio companies, adding “founder-facing” tools for competitive analysis, asset benchmarking, and strategic decision-making. The rollout is staged, with design partners expected to begin onboarding in the second half of 2026. Sofinnova said Sofia is built on AWS infrastructure and jointly resourced by Sofinnova and AWS, with eligible companies also able to access AWS resources including technical support and cloud credits. The firm positioned the program as tailored to life sciences domain workflows rather than generic AI services. The immediate practical impact is operational: portfolio companies can accelerate analysis cycles and decision support for pipeline and strategy, while Sofinnova extends AI-driven value-add across its investment platform. This is another signal that AI is moving from consumer-facing tools into investment and development operating systems in biotech.
