Insilico Medicine and SK Biopharmaceuticals entered a neuroimmune-focused R&D collaboration at BIO 2026 that could be worth more than $2.5 billion. Insilico will use its Pharma.AI platform to discover and design candidates across neuroinflammatory, neurodegenerative, and rare neurological indications, while SK handles late-stage development and commercialization. The structure includes $18 million in upfront and near-term milestone payments, with additional compensation tied to development, regulatory, and commercial benchmarks. Insilico said the partnership extends its expansion beyond epilepsy into broader CNS categories. The deal also reflects how large drugmakers are increasingly coupling AI-based discovery engines with internal clinical and regulatory development capabilities to speed candidate generation in complex brain-related disease areas.
