Bio-Techne and Refeyn announced an integrated workflow combining MauriceFlex imaged capillary isoelectric focusing (icIEF) with Refeyn’s TwoMP mass photometry to characterize charge and size variants in bispecific antibodies and biosimilars. The companies said the workflow links charge heterogeneity with molecular weight and aggregation at single-molecule resolution within about four hours. The update targets a key bottleneck in next-generation antibody development: improved variant characterization without inflating sample consumption or analysis complexity. Bio-Techne positioned the workflow as reducing reliance on multiple orthogonal assays, which can delay process development or amplify manufacturing risk. In clinical operations, Medable’s Agentic Accelerator Program complements this broader push by focusing on agentic AI deployment across protocol initiation to study close-out, with governance and auditability controls intended to support GxP expectations.
