The work focused on using AI to support the complex planning process, with the trial findings presented as a step toward more consistent delivery. The presentation also emphasized relevance for low- and middle-income settings, where planning capacity and specialized expertise can be limiting factors. For oncology operations, automation and standardization of planning may reduce variability and accelerate throughput. The study strengthens the case for deploying explainable or quality-assured AI within clinical radiotherapy workflows rather than treating AI as a purely research tool.
