Qiagen and Nvidia announced an integration of accelerated computing and Nvidia’s BioNeMo into Qiagen Digital Insights’ curated biomedical knowledgebases, targeting faster, evidence-linked AI workflows for target and biomarker discovery. The platform is designed for graph-based AI over biomedical knowledge graphs with agentic, multi-step drug discovery assistance. On the research front, Nature published new work describing Robin, a multi-agent system that automates hypothesis generation and data analysis for experimental biology. In dry age-related macular degeneration, Robin proposed and validated enhanced retinal pigment epithelium phagocytosis, confirming in vitro activity for ripasudil and KL001 and generating mechanistic follow-up via RNA-seq. Separately, Nature also published the broader “AI scientist” framing via multi-agent methods—reinforcing how model-driven reasoning is moving from analysis assistance toward end-to-end experimental cycles.
