The Global Neurodegeneration Proteomics Consortium (GNPC) published findings from one of the largest proteomic datasets, comprising approximately 250 million unique protein measurements from over 35,000 blood and cerebrospinal fluid samples worldwide. Analyses identified distinct and shared protein biomarkers and pathways associated with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, frontotemporal dementia, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. These insights enhance understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases and aging, supporting early diagnosis and therapeutic development. The consortium is enabling broader access to the dataset, reflecting a major collaborative effort to advance neurodegeneration research.
