Singapore's A*STAR Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) and 10x Genomics have initiated the TISHUMAP project to analyze over 2,000 clinical samples using high-resolution spatial transcriptomics with 10x’s Xenium platform. Funded by a $17.8 million four-year grant, the study aims to map cell positioning and interactions in tumors from gastric, liver, colorectal cancers, among others. The collaboration includes development of custom gene panels and AI algorithms to identify novel biomarkers and drug targets, advancing precision medicine and diagnostics in oncology and beyond.
