10x Genomics launched Atera, an in situ spatial biology platform aimed at whole-transcriptome profiling with single-cell resolution and higher throughput. The company said the instrument will begin shipping in the second half of the year, with a list price of $495,000 and whole-transcriptome reagent costs around $2,200 per sample, plus a cloud analysis workflow to store, analyze and collaborate on spatial datasets.
