10x Genomics said it is on track to stand up a CLIA-certified laboratory at its Pleasanton headquarters campus, with the facility expected to open early next year. The planned lab supports the company’s transition from research tools into clinical diagnostics, including assay validation and optimization under regulated lab conditions. Management said the buildout is central to accelerating clinical collaborations, citing a multi-year partnership with Cleveland Clinic. That collaboration uses patient samples to develop biomarkers for bladder cancer and to correlate single-cell and spatial biology findings with therapeutic outcomes across modalities such as immunotherapies and ADCs. The CLIA lab expansion is part of 10x’s broader clinical push announced earlier in the year, and it signals a continued shift toward end-to-end workflow control for regulated adoption of advanced spatial and single-cell platforms.
